
What began as an idea for reimagining a pair of Levi’s jeans; expanded into transforming the original denim reconstruction into graphic tees and hoodies. Continually, keeping the idea of, “less waste;” a one of one collection was crafted.
The 9 square grid was used to compose the rhythm and organization of the individual pieces to compose something mesmerizing when placed together. Further, using color theory and contrast (as well as, spiritual knowledge) to evoke positive emotions and wonder- when looking at this abstract piece of art. We live in a reality of shapes, lines, and colors- enhanced by a 3 dimensions. Thus, using this knowledge then simplifying it to its core to convey the core principles of vision, while making it “fun”.
Lastly, drawing inspiration from St. Louis artist, Smino’s song “Defribillator,” his lyrics were the seed of this concept. He provides a positive, energetic, and powerful message throughout the song. Accompanied by hypnotic production.
